  • Can follow 1-step verbal commands without any gestures
     

Cognitive (learning, thinking, problem solving)

  • Points to one body part
  • Drinks from a cup
  • Imitates actions and words of adults
  • Overcomes simple obstacles
     

Movement/Physical Development

  • Fine motor
    • Eats with a spoon
    • Scribbles spontaneously
    • Places 5 pegs in pegboard
    • Turns pages 2 or three at a time
  • Gross motor
    • Walks alone
    • May walk up steps and run
    • Pulls, pushes toys while walking
    • Throws ball overhead without falling
       

Ask for help if your child:

  • Does not copy others
  • Does not gain new words
  • Does not have at least 6 words
  • Loses skills he once had
