The Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society provides services to rural communities that surround Calgary in three program areas; 1) Caregiver and Individual Response, 2) Professional Response and 3) Community Response.

Caregivers and individuals receive support with system advocacy, parenting strategies and diagnosis and assessment. Professionals can attend a variety or workshops suited to their specific agency, and can access the staff for consultation regarding on an individual basis. Prevention and awareness initiatives focus on relevant information being presented to communities through universal campaigns, presentations to middle and high school students and working with those agencies who provide support to pregnant women.

The Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society operates a monthly respite program, parent support groups and programs for teens. The Resource Center is located in High River, Alberta and staff is available to provide support to any community in the Calgary and area health region.
